She ate great during the night & morning & was sound asleep from 11am-3:30pm! Our little night owl! The nurse was setting up to do her regular check & let us take her temp & change her diaper. It's meant a lot the way they work to keep us involved & part of things. I also got to nurse her which went great!
Several tests have come back & all are great news. Her EEG was normal, ruling out neurological issues (seizures, etc). Her blood cultures from when we were at Good Shepherd are normal so they are stopping the antibiotics. They did a cranial ultrasound which was normal as well. Right now we are waiting on the official read of the cardio tests & the other blood tests that are cultures (those take 5 days to be official). Everything is looking really good. They are not planning any more tests at this time, but that can always change. If they do not find anything, they will likely keep her for awhile more to make sure she doesn't have anymore episodes. As crazy as it may sound I would actually prefer that - I would hate for her to have an episode at home & I may never sleep with the anxiety of that!
For right now we are loving sitting by her bed & watching her sleep, holding her & cuddling all 11 pounds of her, and getting to take care of her.
Thank you all so much for your texts, messages, comments, and most of all your prayers. Each one means so much even when we cannot reply. We feel so beyond loved & just really feel at peace. God continues to be faithful in the midst of this in so many ways.

Lori,
ReplyDeleteHailey's story is a lot like my Julia's story. She had breathing episodes and spent her first week in the NICU at Northwest. My heart breaks to hear that you are going through this with your precious girl. If you ever want to talk, please call me. I know what it's like to have a sick kid and no known reason. Julia did recover completely and is a very healthy 2 year old now. I'm sending out lots of healing vibes to Hailey so that she will be at home with you very soon, happy and healthy. Hang in there, Lori.
XOXO,
